Parents & Friends Association

At St Joseph’s School Glen Innes, we recognise that positive partnerships between families and schools strengthen the school community and improve learning, well-being, faith development and life opportunities for all children/young people in the school. Families are strongly encouraged to be part of all school events which include – Masses, Liturgies, Assemblies and Celebrations.  The more the children see parents involved at school, the better they are able to see that ‘education is a team effort’.

Parents play a vital role in our daily school life.  There are many ways that parents or even grandparents can be involved: reading groups, sports, art/crafts, computers, Sacramental programme, class/school Masses, School Advisory Council, Parents and Friends Association, assemblies and the library just to name a few.

Similarly, the P&F seek to coordinate “fun” community events such as Trivia Nights, Mother’s Day Dinners, Father’s Day Breakfasts, etc.

The Parents and Friends Association meets once per term at a mutually convenient time that is advertised in both the School Newsletter and the COMPASS app.
