Enrolment

St Joseph’s School in Glen Innes provides a quality Catholic co-educational primary school education for boys and girls from Kindergarten to Year 6. Enrolments are accepted at any time in any class (unless the class is full) provided the applicant meets the enrolment criteria.  However the official enrolment period is June/July of the year prior to commencement in Kindergarten.

Enrolment Packages are available upon request from the front office. The School follows the Diocesan Enrolment Policy which can be found on the Armidale Catholic Schools Website. A link is provided in this website under Parent Zone to the Armidale Catholic Schools Website.

In this era of ecumenism it is appropriate that we accept enrolments of other than Catholic students into the schools of the Armidale Diocese. These students can be enrolled according to the guidelines of the Enrolment Policy. These students are easily able to fit into the elements of a Christian community, which recognises the dignity of the person and the need for each person to grow through community interactions that are based upon Gospel values. All students attend religion lessons, liturgies, retreats and reflection days organised by the school.   All children are expected to support the Christian values and attitudes of the school.

Baptismal Certificate

If children have not been baptised in St Patrick’s Church, a copy of their Baptismal Certificate is to be provided on enrolment.

Birth Certificate

A birth certificate for the child requesting enrolment must be provided.

Immunisation

Children starting school in Kindergarten will be requested to present an Immunisation Certificate at the time of school enrolment. If you do not present an Immunisation Certificate to the school, your child will be classified as ‘not immunised’ and unfortunately, enrolment to St Joseph’s School may be refused.
